A Day at Camp

A sample daily schedule is below.  Schedules vary by division (age group).  Of course, our Shabbat schedule looks very different. And on Fridays, we end activities early for Shabbat prep.

8:00am – Wake-Up

Time to get dressed and ready for the day ahead

8:30am – Shacharit

Morning Tefilla by age group

Sephardic Tefilla available

9:00am – Breakfast

Enjoy a hot or cold breakfast from our ample choices, served cafeteria style

9:30am – Clean-Up

Return to your bunk for clean-up and grab your sports equipment or get changed for your morning activities

10:10am and 11:20am – Electives and Instructional Swim Periods

Choose from a wide array of activities in sports, arts, adventure training and more. Check out our Electives page for more details

12:10pm – Instructional Athletics

Camp Shoshanim offers Instructional Athletics in a wide range of sports including basketball, soccer, lacrosse, softball, volleyball, and field hockey. This activity period is instructional rather than competitive based so it gives campers an opportunity to enhance and develop their skills. In addition, we participate in athletic competitions against other camps in our core sports

 

1:00pm – Lunch

Enjoy our tasty meal and healthy salad bar while sitting with your fellow bunk mates and staff

1:50pm – Rest Period

Write letter home, chill out with your friends or catch a quick rest before the afternoon activities

2:45pm – Recreational (Rec) Time

Play a pickup game of sport, create an art project or enjoy a relaxing afternoon swim to cool off

3:40pm – Snack, Mail and Mincha

Choose a snack from the canteen, read your mail and printed email and daven mincha

4:00pm and 5:00pm – Chinuch and Electives

Daily chinuch related to our summer theme.

6:00pm – Dinner

Enjoy our tasty meal and healthy salad bar while sitting with your fellow bunk mates and staff

7:00pm – Shower Time

Get showered, dressed and prepared for the evening program

8:00pm – Evening Program

Take part in a divisional evening program, Spa Night, “Shoshanim’s Got Talent” and Simon Sez to name a few

9:30pm – Layla Tov (Lights out time depends on age group and the evening activity)

Lights-out and then its flashlight time until the staff member gives the word that it’s time for bed
